Where has this puppy been all my life?!I already had two 18v batteries so I didn't need the whole kit, so this worked out perfectly.I bought the brads from the local hardware so I could inspect them - I'm buying this to make my life easier and collecting a bunch of brads that came apart in shipping is not my idea of easier. This thing... man I'm kicking myself for not buying it sooner. I had it in my head that this was just a novelty/nice to have item but I can do fine without it for the cost. Was I wrong. I can't express how much easier and faster this is, and leaves a much smaller hole. I've used it on trim (baseboard, casing, etc.) and even to face nail some HARD, thick flooring that I had to replace. Punches through with no problem and you don't have to worry about having room to swing a hammer, or use a countersink, splitting, etc. Hold it up, POP, done.• Adjustable force• Lights area when nose is pressed• Nose has protective rubber piece so as not to mar surface• As stated, nose piece easily pops apart to fix jams• Decent balance to it once battery is on• Easy to load/unload brads• Basically what I've come to expect from DeWALTI haven't tried the sequential firing setting yet so I can't comment on it.What I can say is hold on to this thing, otherwise the brads won't sink properly. In fact, if the nailing surface or the nail gun are not secure when firing the nail won't penetrate properly (may be less of an issue with soft wood). Do some testing before hand…

Perfect for finish and trim work that requires getting into small spaces, this Impulse finish nailer from Paslode lets you avoid the hassle of compressor hoses and compressor noise. The nailer's small, lightweight body (just under 5 pounds) is easy to grip and, because you're not hooked up to a hose, doesn't cause as much arm fatigue as other nailers. It drives 1-1/4- to 2-1/2-inch nails and has easy-to-adjust drive depth, a probe position indicator, and an angled clip for improved maneuverability. This Paslode nailer uses a patented system that requires both a fuel cell and an included rechargeable battery. We were impressed with the gun's performance--it's consistent and provides plenty of power for most uses. This model will shoot up to 1,200 nails on a single fuel cell and up to 4,000 nails on a full battery charge. It has a convenient belt hanger, too, so you won't have to lay it on the ground or on top of a ladder, and the high-visibility orange makes it difficult to overlook. The…
We own several different Paslode nail guns, including the framing nailer and the straight finish nailer. We began using the Paslode products about 4 years ago. I will say that the new guns we have purchased in the last few months are significantly better than the quality of the guns purchased just a year ago. Don't get me wrong, we weren't disappointed with our purchase a year ago, it's just that these "newest generation" guns fire smoother, have more power and have been more consistent.I have heard others complain about the cost of gas cartridges and replacement batteries and that the guns have to be reloaded fairly often. I will say that all of these are very minor inconveniences when compared to the overall benefits of these tools. We now own about 10 of these various Paslode guns for our crews and they are truly a great tool. While they are quite a bit more expensive than the air tools, the freedom of use that this style of gun offers and how it will make your work more effecient makes this a purchase well worth the money. Also, Amazon's price is EXTREMELY competative and not paying sales tax on the purchase saves us in Michigan another ... . You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

This is a nice combo pack for the weekend user or hobbyist. The compressor requires no maintenance... a definite consideration when buying. Everything is easily accessible for adjustments and connections. The unit is compact, fairly light and packs up well for mobility. Compressor is a bit loud but I can live with that for the price. There is no air nozzle included, you'll need to buy that separately.

I purchased a refurb model of this and have nothing but great things to say about this nailer. I've used it for quick shoe moulding repair, bathroom baseboard installation, and to flatten out cedar shingle siding that was warping before painting. Bump mode is highly functional with no lag or delay.I Have never needed to use a depth adjustment setting higher that 3, even while using 2 1/2 inch nails into 2x4s, setting 2 will sink it all the way in.I would change the LED light to a white color rather than yellow though.I use hitatchi nails from lowes with no problems at all.

27 of 27 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsThe right tool for the job, October 3, 2004 By Finiki Finishes "Fin" (St.Paul, Minnesota) - See all my reviewsI find the finish nailer to be extremely useful. I frequently detail out properties going on the market. The nailer is perfect for installing baseboards, quarter round and crown mouldings, without the hassle of hauling a compressor and hoses. I find it simple to operate, it is simple to load, simple to set depth. I do not see it as being any heavier than a gun with a snarly hose attached. It sinks more nails on one battery charge than I have had a need for at any job yet. Personally I think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

So glad I decided to give this gun a go! I've been using Paslode finishers for a while now and needed a new one. This bostitch was cheaper, which made me have my doubts. They were quickly put to rest when the gun turned up. So light, well designed, small batteries, so much quieter than the paslodes. I thought maybe because the gun is physically smaller as well (only by a small amount) that it would lack the power to drive nails all day. Once again I was mistaken. Bostitch have a very good reputation over here in Australia which is why I got it and it has far exceeded anything I expected. The nails are easy to find also as they are a common size. Well done Bostitch, I'll be sticking with it from now on.

Nailer works great. The hose did not last very long because it was fairly light duty. I've done many jobs with this nailer and it is holding up very well.

18-Gauge Cordless Brad Nailer
I have this 18 ga and the 16 ga angled nailers. They both have worked flawlessly for over 6 months and a couple thousand nails. I use the 18 exclusively for crown and fine mouldings, and the 16 when there's a few pieces of base or casing. I still keep a compressor and air gun when I have a lot of nailing to do.
